RUN... GAME... PARTY!
Busy long day. Woke up at 5am to send Dad off at the airport. Mum and Mic soon. Missing them already...
Run...
Rushed down to MR to meet Run3 and Taz for our exploratory run from MR to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It was drizzling (again!). We got our shoes muddy - it was almost a replay of the ultramarathon... This is quite a good route, with a couple of hills that would make good training ground. Not for a girl (or even guy) to run alone though - very quiet route and there are a few covered wells that resemble the ones in the movie "The Ring" where Sadako climbed out of... The entire route is about 12km one way, and took us an hour and a half to complete (had to read signboards to figure out the trail)... We were a little demoralised by the rain (all wet and muddy), plus the adventuring sapped our energy so we took a cab from Bukit Timah Hill Visitor Centre back to MR. We agreed this was quite fun and we should try the MR-Upper Pierce Reservoir route next (quite a few hills too).
Game...
Was all wet and muddy so decided to go home to bathe before joining some of the sgrunners at HV Settlers Cafe for an afternoon of gaming. When I reached there, Tiwazz, Bala, Reno and Littlefoot had already finished their lunch and were in the middle of a game of Blokus. Tiwazz won that round. Seems quite fun but let's go try a silly game. Bala suggested "Galloping Pigs". Haha this game is quite silly - but quite interesting and the pigs are cute! Tiwazz won this round (again!) but I was only one point behind. Was attracted by the description of this RPG game Munchkin "Kill the monsters - Steal the treasure - Stab your buddy" which promised lots of silliness. We took a while to figure out the rules of the games (Tiwazz and Littlefoot were a little lost) so the guys suggested pairing up. It was Bala-Littlefoot, Reno-Tiwazz against me! Okay, who scared of who! Haha Reno-Tiwazz were real unlucky - kept getting the curse cards and the powerful monsters - so never progressed beyond level 2. Bala-Littlefoot kept getting treasures and were close behind me. I kept getting weak monsters so progressed up the levels to emerge champ! Game is fun cos u can sabo the other players - steal their treasures, curse them, or gang up against them! Will prob have another round soon (at the Central branch cos more games).

Party!
Went home, had dinner and grabbed two hours of sleep before rushing down to meet the gals for a hens party at MOS. One of the gals had some lobang (knows the boss of MOS) so even though we arrived about 11:30pm and there was this LONG queue outside MOS we went in through the VIP queue and cut through all these people staring belligently at us. There was even a reserved spot for us (some ang mohs were sitting there but vacated the spot for us). We started drowning the "hen" - the aim was to make her high so she will actually do the "scavenger hunt" especially designed for her. These 3 ang moh guys stopped by our table, toasted us and dragged our hen plus a couple of us to the dance floor. We entertained them for a while before realising that they were not "pre-arranged" as we had assumed (!!) so gave some excuses and trooped back to our table. We were disturbed during the rest of the night by a couple of guys (some dares?!) but i guess a table of 10 girls does attract quite a bit of attention, plus we were play acting with tiaras, wands and feather boas!! Everyone wanted to toast the hen (friends or strangers), and out of nowhere appeared this tray of shooters. They smelled BAD... but we did not want to appear rude so all took one. Aarrgghhss! Strong, smelly and sticky. More play acting and photo-taking (even the official photographer came over and started taking photos). Lots of drinking and dancing. Can't even remember if the hen eventually carried out the tasks...
